Once you step into the doors- a friendly bar, a bright dining room awaits you. Dinkel's has separate meeting rooms for your business meetings, wedding reception or a family get together. We were greeted by a very friendly and smiling lady who seated us promptly. Kathhryn our waitress was personable, bubbly, attentive and most accommodating. We were sat at a small, quaint table for two by the fountain. The courtyard provided an oasis with it's fountain and ivy covered walls. It was truly a step into Italy without leaving Belleville. I was enamored the moment we walked in to the court yard. Our dining experience began with a Caesar salad, for myself and for my husband fresh mussels. The fresh mussels were served in a tasty wine sauce with chopped onion garlic, and fresh herbs. The mussels were cooked perfectly by Chef, Paul Travis. They were plump and fresh tasting, not the least bit gritty. I have had many Caesar salads, but none compared to the freshness and taste of the one I had at Dinkel's. For my husband the entree consisted of two Beef tournedos’ wrapped in bacon, served with roasted potatoes and fresh broccoli and baby carrots. The beef was tender and flavorful. The tournedos were definitely a hit. I truly enjoyed the tender chicken breast marinated with fresh lemon thyme. I was definitely impressed with this dish. The chicken was so juicy and full of flavor. It paired nicely with the baby roasted potatoes, fresh carrots and broccoli all Ontario grown. Upon saying a farewell to the sun and enjoying the now gentle summer breeze our meal came to an end with dessert. I savored every last bite of my caramel apple cheesecake. I can't even describe how wonderful it was. My husband enjoyed the triple mouse chocolate raspberry cake, which was absolutely delicious I might ad. Both desserts were served with diced strawberry, kiwi and drizzled syrup. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance made for a great relaxing fine dining experience.
Janet is extremely talented and such a sweet lady. Her flower arrangements are beautiful.
We visited before Covid started. They offer smaller portions than the old owners, but the food is amazing. And too be honest, the old owners served too much. The new owners are really friendly too. I can not wait to return as their gravy is delicious. Can we say poutine?
This is our go to destination to get away and just relax. Their rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Greek Oasis in Belleville offers great food and good service. We have celebrated many occasions with them from birthdays, to weddings to anniversaries and they always come through.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Handcrafted drinks made to order. Delicious, fresh made pastries, brownies, sandwiches and other treats. BEST local charcuterie in the area. LGBTQ2S+ friendly. Highly recommend Taylor and his incredible business.
Our dog loves Susan Dog Treats. They are 100% Natural and affordable. Susan has a nice selection and even does pup cakes for birthdays.
We have been here 3 times now. You can expect to spend about two hours here, so it is a nice small zoo to take the kids to if you are looking for a day trip. Jungle Cat World also has a small playground, and a lookout point. A Snack Bar offering light meals is open during the summer season. You can also bring along a picnic and enjoy it on the patio, just outside of the Gift Shop. Afternoon feeding tours start at 1:30 p.m. daily, beginning with the African Lions, followed by the Amur Tigers.
My brother from Morinville Alberta actually introduced me to this store. He tries to make a road trip out there whenever he comes to Ontario. Lucky for me it is a short trip from Belleville. Not only does my young daughter love this store, but it takes me back to my childhood. There are not many candy stores around like this any more. The staff are super friendly!
We try to visit every fall. Cricklewood Farm offers lots of fun activities once you’re finish the corn maze they have every year. Other activities at this farm include a picnic area, play area, and photo ops. Cricklewood Farm also offers pick your own apples, raspberries, and pumpkins as well as sweet corn and squash (11 different varieties). Pumpkins are usually available late September (depending on the season) and October. Prices depend on the pumpkin’s size. At Cricklewood Farms they grow 43 different types of apples. Paula Red apples were ready to pick when we were there. We didn’t pick any our last visit, but a couple at the farm who were picking apples while we were there, told us that the apples were very nice. A trip to the farm would not be complete without a stop to the market, which provides snacks, baked goods, cheese, honey, jam and gift items. My daughter is of course drawn to the various stuffed animals and my husband can never leave without sampling the delicious home made tarts.
Helping Hand Home Care Support provided care to my disabled daughter. All of the PSW supports that were sent went beyond the means to insure not only was my daughter safe, but that she enjoyed her time spent with them. Sometimes I would give short notice on needing a PSW and Helping Hands were always able to insure I had a PSW on hand. Having dealt with various other PSW agencies over the last 7 years I would highly recommend Helping Hands.
